Discover The Upcoming Cadillac CELESTIQ

Cadillac is an American brand that evokes luxury in the mind of everyone, and the new Cadillac CELESTIQ doesn’t stray away from this reputation. Still, there’s a twist; this high-end luxury sedan is an electric vehicle!

This upcoming vehicle aims to bring a luxurious experience without sacrificing comfort or performance. Adding preserving the environment to the mix. Each vehicle will be unique and hand-made, with limited availability. Here’s what we know so far about the future Cadillac CELESTIQ, and for more information, you can contact Myers Cadillac Ottawa.

Interior, Comfort & Cargo

Despite being an electric vehicle, the CELESTIQ has the hallmarks of a traditional Cadillac. It’s incredibly spacious, with legroom that will make even NBA players comfortable. Moreover, the high-end leather is a perfect fit for the laid-back seating the brand is known for.

The constructor hand-picked every material of the car. So, you’ll have a large palette to choose from with the most luxurious leathers and trims. Furthermore, the instrument panel is a massive touchscreen display that occupies the entirety of the dashboard with a customizable layout. The glass roof lights up and can be adapted to suit every passenger.

Infotainment & Connectivity

A screen between the two front seats allows occupants to control the temperature, seat inclination and lighting individually. Furthermore, instead of the traditional speed meter and infotainment station, you’ll find a touchscreen spanning across the dashboard. It allows you to navigate, play music with the 38-speakers sound system, watch movies or browse the internet.

Drivers will also benefit from the unique Ultra Cruise system, Cadillac’s hands-free driver assistance technology; the car almost drives itself. It’s an evolution of the Super Cruise system and combines cameras and sensors to be efficient on 95% of the roads in North America.

Battery & Performances

The Celestiq will have a 111-kWh battery pack and two motors. The all-wheel drive propulsion will deliver 600 horsepower, and it’s estimated that it can drive up to 483 km with a single charge. The vehicle comes with a traditional electric adapter and a 200 kW DC fast charging system, which can let you drive for around 125 km with only ten minutes of charge at a public station.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The Ultra Cruise system is an improved version of GM’s Super Cruise, and this new version allows for hands-free driving. Using cameras and various sensors, the system has been tested on roads across North America, including Canada. GM claims it works on 95% of the roads you’ll encounter. Like the Blackwing, it offers a rear steering system to assist in driving. This system allows for increased maneuverability, and it’s a welcome addition, given the size of the CELESTIQ.

Is There A Government Rebate?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear like this vehicle is eligible for a tax rebate at the moment, according to the government of Canada’s site. However, the CELESTIQ has yet to be released, and it’s a tailor-made luxury sedan that you have to order.
